Welcome

Welcome to Your Turramurra Electrical Team

Electricians Turramurra is a licensed local team working one of Sydney's wettest and greenest suburbs, out where the bushland runs into the heritage houses.

We hold a NSW electrical contractor licence and we're members of Master Electricians Australia. You get a written price before anyone lifts a tool, and the price we quote is the price you pay.

One Local Team, Every Electrical Service Covered

We handle the lot, from one dead power point to consumer mains and everything in between.

The routine never changes: a licensed sparkie on site, a fixed written quote, and an invoice with nothing hidden in it. Pick your job below.

Switchboard Upgrades

No safety switches on the board, or one that drops out every time two appliances pull hard at once? A switchboard upgrade fits RCBOs, labels every circuit, and leaves the board legible for whoever opens it next.

Light Installation

Downlights, pendants, dimmers and floodlights. Deep garden blocks like the ones along Bobbin Head Road need proper outdoor circuits, so light installation out that way is as much cabling as fitting.

EV Charger Installation

The charger is the simple bit. EV charger installation turns on whether your board has spare capacity, whether a dedicated circuit can reach the garage, and how the thing is commissioned.

Emergency Electrician

Sparks, a burning smell, or a whole wing gone dark after dinner. An emergency electrician is on call for the genuine ones, and we work out with you on the phone whether yours is one.

Level 2 Electrician

Your meter box, the attachment point and the mains feeding them sit behind a Level 2 ticket, not a general sparkie's. Our Level 2 electrician accreditation covers exactly that stretch: consumer mains, service lines and meter connections.

Residential Electrician

Power points, ceiling fans, fault finding, rewires and data cabling. A residential electrician handles the everyday list, quoted in writing before anything starts and tidied up after.

Local knowledge

Local Knowledge That Matters in Turramurra

The housing here landed in three rough waves, and each one left its own mess behind the plaster.

Pre-1940. Federation Queen Anne and heritage stock, mostly double brick. The wiring has been added to for eighty years rather than replaced, so what looks like one small fault is often the third patch on the same circuit.

1940s to 1960s. Weatherboard and brick homes wired for an era of one fridge and one radio. Every appliance since has been hung off circuits that were never sized for them.

1960s to 1980s. Enough power points for one television, which is why extra points and dedicated circuits are bread-and-butter work on these streets.

Now the backyards. Big blocks around Boomerang Street and off Eastern Road often run a pool or a spa, and both want their own dedicated circuit plus proper equipotential bonding.

Bonding is the bit nobody sees and the bit that keeps a wet area safe. If your pool gear was wired in by a previous owner's mate, it earns a proper look before summer.

Then the renovations. A Federation house gets extended, a 1930s circuit ends up feeding a 2026 kitchen, and that is usually where a rewire starts.

Why So Many Locals Choose Us

Owner-occupiers who have held the same house for twenty years do not shop on price alone.

They want the same sparkie reachable in a decade, one who already knows what is buried in their walls and who fixes his own mistakes without an argument.

We Turn Up When We Say

A real person answers the phone, and we book you in for a time that suits. Running late is rare, and when it happens you hear about it from us before the window closes.

The Price Is Agreed Before Any Work Starts

We don't charge by the hour. Your price covers labour, parts, GST, testing and the paperwork, and if something genuinely unforeseen turns up the tools stop until you have seen a revised quote.

Rated Five Stars, Over and Over

600+ five-star reviews from Sydney homeowners, and the same three notes keep coming back: on time, tidy, and an invoice that matched the quote. That is the whole pitch, really.

Backed Long After We Leave

The lifetime workmanship guarantee is not fine print. A 12-month product warranty sits over the gear on top of the manufacturer's, and we email your guarantee certificate as the job closes out.

How we work

How We Work on Every Job

Four steps on every job, from a single power point through to a full rewire. No hourly rates, and no work begins before you have agreed a price.

  1. 01

    Call and Describe the Fault

Ring and describe what the house is doing, and when it started. Phone triage is done by a licensed electrician, so the first minute gives you real advice rather than a booking script.

  2. 02

We Look, Then We Price It

We come out, find the actual cause and put a fixed written price in front of you. Free, in writing, and yours to sit on for as long as you like.

  3. 03

    The Work, Done Tidy

Drop sheets down and the place left tidy, premium Clipsal and Hager switchgear, and we take our mess away with us. Every circuit gets labelled properly while we are in there.

  4. 04

    Test, Certify, Hand Over

Everything is tested before we sign off. Notifiable electrical work gets a certificate lodged with NSW Fair Trading, and a compliance report with photos comes through afterwards.

When an Electrical Emergency Strikes in Turramurra

This ridge catches more rain than almost anywhere else in Sydney. Water and electricity do not mix, and storm season is when that gets tested.

Ring us straight away if you have:

  • Any burning smell around a switch, an outlet or the switchboard
  • An arc or a spark as a plug goes in
  • Your place dark while next door still has lights
  • A safety switch that will not stay reset
  • Rain finding its way into a ceiling cavity or a light fitting
  • An outlet that feels warm, or has gone brown around the edges

If the whole street is dark, Ausgrid has a network fault and resetting your board will not bring it back. Anything on your side of the switchboard, though, is ours.

So turn it off at the switchboard, keep clear of it, and call an emergency electrician. Genuine emergencies get answered at any hour.

Safe, Compliant and Certified Electrical Work

Bad electrical work does not announce itself. It sits quietly in a ceiling for a decade and then one day it does not, which is why the standard applies to the parts nobody will ever look at.

Licensed and Insured

Every sparkie who turns up holds a current NSW electrical licence covering the job they came to do. DIY electrical work is illegal in NSW, and that is about your insurance as much as your safety.

Wired to AS/NZS 3000

The AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules are the baseline, not the aspiration. Circuits get sized, protected and labelled to that standard, and we test the lot before it goes live.

Certified, Not Just Finished

Notifiable work earns a Certificate of Compliance lodged with NSW Fair Trading, and you get a copy. It is the paperwork that matters when you sell, renovate or claim.

Accredited by Choice

Master Electricians membership is voluntary and it comes with audits. We keep it because it is the easiest way for you to check we are not marking our own homework.

Common questions

Electrician FAQs

Six questions we field most weeks, answered straight. The FAQ page goes deeper if yours is missing.

Do you do small jobs like a single power point?

Yes, small jobs are welcome. A single power point, a fan, one dodgy switch: same licensed sparkie, same written price, same cover as a full rewire.

Do you offer emergency electrical work?

Yes, around the clock for the genuine ones. A burning smell, arcing, water sitting in a fitting or a board that keeps dropping out all qualify, and you talk to a licensed electrician who decides with you how fast we need to move.

Are your electricians licensed and insured?

Yes, and both are checkable. NSW electrical contractor licence #452529C covers the company, we are fully insured, and every sparkie on site is licensed for the work in front of them.

How does your pricing work?

You get one fixed price, agreed in writing after we have seen the job. Nothing gets bolted on later: no travel line, no parking, no disposal fee, and we don't charge by the hour.

How much does an electrician cost in Turramurra?

There is no price list, because a power point in a weatherboard wall and one in a double-brick Federation wall are different jobs. Quotes are free and in writing first, plus $50 off your first service.

How quickly can an electrician arrive in Turramurra?

Bookings are often same or next day, and a genuine emergency jumps the queue. Pymble and Killara are on the same run, so we are nearby more often than not.
